lil' angsty elmo. always angsty. angsty angsty angsty. hahaha.
Why, Ms Elmo? Why get angsty? Why keep angsting? Are you Angsting for something? Is it work? Soccer? Or perhaps love? Yes? No? Do you know what you are angsting for? ... Illusions, Ms Elmo. hahaha. I'm not as good as gaga in memorising this thing. hahaha. But yup. I changed some of the key words to suit my current situation. lol. So question of the day! What pissed Ms Elmo off ytd? hahaha
Contestant no. 1 is: WORK
Elmo has not received much feedback from people around her (save that once from an angsty, complain-y HOD) since she has started working 1+ months back. suddenly, she received a whole chunk of complaints, although not directed to her, but the timing seems to be far from ideal.
Currently on hand, Elmo has 2 assignments, one ending and one starting. I suppose the one starting has perfectly fine reasons for giving feedback, so that we may improve on the way we teach. But, on the other hand, Elmo does not understand why the one ENDING requires so many feedback and expects instantaneous change, which Elmo feels is extremely unreasonable. I suppose Elmo has no choice but to accept it and take criticisms as they come by, Elmo has to understand that Elmo is indeed lacking in certain must-have skills for teachers, but still Elmo is having a hard time accepting certain things. As Elmo rationalises the problems into words, Elmo starts to feel better. So Elmo sees no need of presenting too much of an argument as to why Elmo should be angsty cuz of work.
But Elmo is currently facing a problem of making the next session of choral speaking interesting and not "lecture-style" (which i really think, like much of the other feedbacks, are based on 5s of observations. REALLY UNFAIR!!). This is cuz for this entire session, Elmo is supposed to go through the main themes of the book. no activities or stuff like that.... and Elmo thinks that's plain boring. And the last literature lesson Elmo has been to is 5 years back. and Elmo probably slept in that class as well. >< sigh.. frustration, frustration.
Contestant no. 2: Soccer Training
Ytd's training was, to say the least, SUCKY. not that it was very physically-demanding, or that we did very boring things, but that Elmo was totally off. couldn't pass properly, couldn't stop the ball properly, slow reaction... everything. performance is 2 out of 10. so Elmo just frowned the whole training away and Fankam was like "Did somebody die?" hahaha. But no, Elmo was really really unhappy. :( dunno why. it just snowballs i guess.
So we played monkey first (which Fankam had many things to complain about Elmo) and then did some sprints (not bad my turning's q ok) waterbreak (which are really rare to come by nowadays) possession 3v3 play, elmo teamed with mimi n ovah and fankam teamed with vaan and huda. at first it was 2 touch, then 3 (or free, couldn't hear him properly). so Fankam was in the dribbling mood, and he tried to ole elmo once and elmo blocked the ball but landed wrongly and sprained her left ankle and fell on the floor, on her butt. hahaha. i always fall like this dunno why :P then the ball was out fankam just took the throw-in and played on, with elmo on the floor, so elmo was quite sad that nobody cared but i thought perhaps fankam thought i was just tired and lazy. sat down a shortwhile to let the ankle get over the pain and started playing again... with a crack in elmo's fragile glass heart. (HAHAHHA. SO DRAMA)
then did shooting. so as expected elmo's shots were like tayi! hahaha. though sometimes there were good connections so they were like CLEARANCES! hahahahhaa. :P very funny. ^^ yupx. so liddat lorhx.
at the end wanted to go home via 157 but bernard said "elmo i thought you're eating with us?" then i was like. oh. okay. hahahaha. cuz u see i did tell my mum that i'm gonna eat with them but i was angsting u see. hahaha. so just sit down and wait for them eat tgt lorhx. and did the 5x5 cube. not bad i can solve it without using the paper already. it's quite simple actually, but very tedious =/ at least it's sth nice to do apart from work xP
Then on the way to the train station elmo was asking bernard if she could play keeper for 15 mins in tmr's friendly, then vaan say she also wanted to play keeper. hahaha. then i was happily saying that we'll take turns then bernard just keep quiet. end up on the train back with vaan bernard messaged saying the friendly cancelled! hahahhaa. so funny. so he was expecting it i guess. dunno why he said it's "good news for me" though.
But really eh. This can't go on. Elmo's mind is not alert and focussed enough during trainings... it's like my mind is wandering off somewhere else.. dunno. like elmo's just waiting for things to happen.. :(
was kinda hoping that the friendly will cheer elmo up. like seeing tressa, kim this bunch will make elmo happier. and i thought the friendly would have been pretty fun and enjoyable.. like playing an 11aside without the stress that a league match brings? should bring the adrenaline back into elmo.... guess not!
Contestant no. 3: Love
Who wrote Love?! Why should Love be a contestant in Elmo's frustrations????? >< Love has good connotations to it, no? ahhh. perhaps the Dearth of Love is a better explanation. the Dearth of Love for soccer and the Dearth of Love for teaching. Perhaps, perhaps.
Or maybe, too much Love has caused elmo to be pampered and soft, unable to take the strong breeze of frustrations. Maybe, maybe. hahahaha..
In any case, there's no one reason that will cause elmo to be so frustrated, so it's all the contestants added up together that makes the damage. it's like in dota, u either kill the hero, or u waste ur mana poking him. (just a sidenote, daniel actually wants to learn dota now!! ><)
aye. oh and anyway. Happy birthday Daniel! hahax. thanks for being such a great friend through these years. Hope we keep in touch, army boy! xP
